This beautiful property, situated less than a mile’s walk from the centre of Windermere, is perfect for a couples’ retreat or family holiday – and that includes your canine companion! Sleeping four across two stunning bedrooms and with enough space for the pup to stretch out, this is the ideal space for you to return to after a day of walking and adventures. Take the hound with you on a lake cruise from Windermere Lake Cruises (1 mile) or simply take in the views from the stunning pathways around the water.

Step inside the apartment into a huge kitchen/diner with beautiful bay windows, making the space bright and airy; Fido is bound to find a sunspot to lounge in here! The lounge, with wonderful high ceilings and pretty nautical touches, is a tranquil place to wind down in after a long day out; curl up on the comfy sofas with a good book or catch up on some box sets on the Smart TV. Upstairs, the bedrooms lend a boutique feel to your stay. Wake up among soft, neutral decor and take an invigorating shower or a bath to kick-start your day.

When you’ve explored Bowness-on-Windermere (0.5 miles) and Windermere itself, head over the water to Beatrix Potter’s 17th-century farmhouse, Hill Top (4 miles on foot and ferry; 12 miles by car) – dogs are welcome in the gardens. Spend the day at one of the most famous Lake District waterfalls, Aira Force, where you’ll catch a glimpse of a landscaped Victorian park and arboretum. Market town and home of the famous mint cake Kendal (9.5 miles) is a must-visit; there are plenty of bookshops, gift shops and cafes to peruse along with walking trails suitable for all ages and species!

The house was spotlessly clean and really spacious. Well equipped. The heated airer was super. Enjoyed the stay very much. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom.

Loved the property but did not like the 5pm check in and 10am check out times. 5pm is too late, we lost a day.

Both my wife and I really enjoyed staying here - it is halfway between, within easy walking distance of, Windermere town and Bowness. The house was very clean and comfortable, with all required amenities.

Its a great location for walking to Bowness or Widermere village . Warm with a huge modern kitchen. Easy parking on street for free. A few trivial things would improve the experience but its a pretty honest place with little to complain about. Never could get wifi working.

Lovely flat, ideally situated and easy to park. We found a pub and park up the hill which was ideal for the dog. The park had a nice cafe too. The welcome pack with fudge, cookies tea & coffee and a pint of milk in the fridge were much appreciated after our long drive up. As were the complimentary Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Great location, easy parking. No expense spared on the quality and the amount of facilities available. The only thing I would mention is that this part of the property is on the first floor, so one flight of stairs upto the accommodation and another to the bedrooms and bathroom. This wasnt a problem for us, but could be if you struggle with steps. Read moreOverall I would wholly recommend. Hide
