Experience an invigorating stay filled with endless dog walks and impeccable scenery on the Isle of Arran. Stay with man’s best friend in this detached country cottage just above Blackwaterfoot (0.5 miles), enjoying the fresh, crisp air of the Scottish west coast and the rural attractions dotted around close by. There’s room for everyone in this spacious holiday home, as a larger pack of eight human guests and two four-pawed pals are invited to stay. Your canine companion will simply adore having their beloved family close by, drifting off and dreaming of walkies just passed whilst you enjoy movie nights and board games in the lounge or sunroom.
On arrival, you’ll first notice the ample lawn space surrounding the cottage. This area is primed for pets and children to play on; however, it is unenclosed, so care should be taken. Once inside, make yourselves at home with feet (and paws) up in the lovely lounge. The dine-in kitchen is just next door, making mealtimes an easy feat. All four tastefully decorated bedrooms, a king-size, two doubles and a twin, are located on this floor, along with two invigorating bathrooms where you’re invited to soak the day away. Enjoy the views further, with al fresco dining on the patio.
Grab doggie treats, leads, and tennis balls and head out to explore this Ayrshire hotspot. The Isle of Arran is awash with fantastic outdoor opportunities, footpaths and beauty spots, including the hearty peak of Goatfell (14 miles). Plot a route that includes the handsome Machrie Moor Standing Stones (4 miles), the towering Eas a’ Chrannaig (14.5 miles) or Glen Rosa’s tranquil Blue Pools (12 miles) on the outskirts of Brodick (11 miles). Closer to home, let Rover lead the way along the King’s Cave Walk (3.5 miles), admiring the mighty coastal scenery and awe-inspiring rock formations that hug the coastline on this historic trail.
