Warm and welcoming. The perfect place to relax before Christmas, after enjoying the large variety of local gift shops for last minute present buying. A fabulous selection of food shops and lots of splendid places to eat. To top it all, Robin and Marnie Dawson. Great hosts.

The cottage was smaller than it looked in the photos, but was lovely and comfortable for us and our dog, who loved the garden. The views over the valley were wonderful. Thanks to Marnie and Robin for their patience and kindness on the day we were leaving and were confronted by a flat tyre, which fortunately was quickly fixed by a mobile tyre companRead morey. Hide

Lovely, quiet area to stay in and owners, who stayed next door, were very friendly. Milk, biscuits and flowers were left for our arrival which was a nice touch. We would definitely consider going back again.

We have been staying in the cottage twice a year for many years now. It more than rewards the 600 miles round trip from our home in Surrey. We now think of it as our home from home. Whatever the weather, the location in the South Lakes is always beatiful and we always find plenty to do never failing to find something new.

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we had everything provided that we could ask for. There were 3 of us which was fine, it may have been a bit crowded for 4 people.

Lovely mid cottage set in beautiful gardens. Hosts were super helpful and great to chat with. Although you'll need a car as a little remote, there's a pub about 100 metres from the door. Very handy for trips to Keswick and Windermere.

A lovely character cottage with a homely feel and in a superb location far enough away from the busy tourist zones to feel in nature but well located to explore all the great fells and towns. We enjoyed our stay at this peaceful property with stunning views and walks plus located nearby to some great quality pubs for the evenings (recommend the BlaRead moreck Labrador and the Hare and Hounds) .
