Packed with heaps of countryside charm, this cottage for four sits in a peaceful pocket of land in the Highlands. Perfect for canine adventures and rural romps, grab one of the maps provided and set off on an adventure to remember. Four-legged family members can chew, chomp and chase sticks to their hearts’ content while you keep your eyes peeled for some Scottish wildlife. Relax back at the ranch and enjoy the cosy creature comforts of home.

Keeping tails and toes toasty warm, the wood burner will tempt you to put your feet up and sink into the comfortable sofas. A perfectly placed rug lies in front of the wood burner inviting furry guests to sprawl out and lap up the heat. Whip up a tasty treat in the compact yet well-equipped galley-style kitchen and plate up in the quaint dining room. The sun room offers panoramic river and valley views. In milder months make the most of the outside bench where you can savour an evening tipple and gaze up at the night sky. Rest your heads in the first-floor bedrooms which are nestled in the eaves of the cottage and therefore have restricted headroom. Freshen up muddy paws and tousle down soggy fur in the shower room on returning from the great outdoors.

Step out of your door and find yourself near the bank of the River Helmsdale. Sniff, splash and stroll your way along the water and enjoy breathing in the fresh air. Add some sand to the mix by travelling 14.5 miles to dog-friendly Crakaig Beach. Heading back home along the coast, stop off and savour tasty treats at one of the many restaurants which welcome those with four legs.

We are familiar with the area so we understood that we would be in an isolated location on a single track road - that suited us, it was quiet and peaceful. This was my 3rd stay & my new wife's first, she realised immediately why I love it so much. The cottage is simply breathtaking as is the scenery, we loved the remoteness and to get so close to the local deer was wonderful. A perfect escape for reactive dog owners, the deer fences around the property allowed for peace of mind when in the very large garden, no immediate neighbours, lots of walking straight from the property as well, and no having to meet the owners. the property it self has a wonderful sun room with beautiful views. If you want supermarkets these are 1Read moreh away but there is a local Spar 20 mins away. Apart from the living room needing updating it was a wonderful stay. Hide
