Perfect for long dog walks and enjoyable hiking days out, this Scottish bungalow is ideal for your next family holiday. Man's best friend and his loyal masters are all well catered for in this comfy home, where six humans and two dogs are welcome to unwind after a long day of bagging Munros and chasing red squirrels. Curl up together in the cosy lounge, reflecting on the day past and watching as Fido basks in the warmth of the open fire.

The decor of this country home has been well preserved, boasting antique furniture and floral soft furnishings that act as an instant reminder of your rural location. Comfy beds, sofas and armchairs all create welcoming spaces to unwind after a long day on your feet, and the windows boast stunning views out to the surrounding gardens. The farmhouse-style kitchen is kept cosy thanks to a traditional AGA oven, providing a warming space for dogs to curl up and sleep when everyone has retired to bed. On summer evenings, the home excels in outdoor space, offering an enclosed garden for Fido and Rover to stretch their legs and a patio with furniture and a BBQ where you can enjoy dining outside.

Wander 1 mile down to the small village of Tomatin, made popular by its large distillery and excellent Scottish spirit. The village lies on the brink of the vast Cairngorms National Park. Here you'll find an abundance of unforgettable dog walks, including the Munro Ben Macdui, that'll challenge even the most energetic of pups. After some extensive woodland walks, head to the pretty town of Grantown-on-Spey (18 miles), where you'll find plenty of dog-friendly local pubs and the bustling River Spey.

Such a comfortable cottage, peaceful & relaxing. Despite losing electricity due to Storm Floris, we had a lovely time and cant wait to come back next year.

The cottage and its setting is a little bit of heaven. Weve stayed in many cottages in Scotland and this is one of the most comfortable and well equipped we have stayed at - it really is a home from home and really has that feel about it. The surrounding area is beautiful and has great walks. You can spend hours just sitting looking out of the diniRead moreng room window watching all of the wildlife that visit the garden. Also the garden is fully enclosed and secure. Would definitely visit again. Hide

This is the first time we have stayed in this cottage and loved every second of it. It literally is a home away from home. Prime location to be able to explore Scotland and the wildlife there was spectacular. Cant wait to go back again and would highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage in stunning location, our dogs loved the massive garden, it was actually nice to have a cottage that claims enclosed that was truly enclosed.

The house and gardens were lovely. The location was secluded with a lot of good walks for dogs nearby. The house was well equipped and had everything we wanted.

We had a fabulous stay at Learag. Everything you could possibly want was provided, the house and garden are beautiful, a real home from home only better! We even got to grips with the Aga which wasnt as daunting as I first thought. We hope to be back soon.

A home from home - everything you need with a fantastic dog-friendly garden (but treat for ticks before you go). Very comfortable, peaceful and relaxing. Helpful owner and cleaning staff. Saw osprey fly low over garden and red squirrel.

Learag is a very, very comfortable and spacious bungalow. The garden is very large and lovely. We regularly saw red squirrels in the garden and deer from the garden. The cottage is very well equipped. The beds are all comfortable. You will have to learn to use an Aga to cook with but therere plenty of books.
