Steal away for a dog-friendly getaway in the heart of the Lake District National Park, setting off on unrivalled walkies each day and unwinding in comfort come the night. Whether you and the pup are planning on hiking some of Cumbria’s almighty fells or simply embracing leisurely walks in the surrounding countryside, this North Lakes holiday cottage promises the perfect base for restful nights of sleep and relaxation. Let man’s best friend curl up at your heels in the cosy lounge or suntrap patio, perfect for stays come rain or shine. Sleeping four guests and one doggo, the two-bedroom property is well suited to a pack of friends or family.

You’ll no doubt feel like top dog when waking up in this charming accommodation day after day, soaking up the traditional design elements, and bright and cheerful pops of colour before heading off on daily adventures. The hub of this house is its kitchen/diner, a bright and light space with plenty of room to park your dog's favourite bed and bowl from home. Once dinner has been served (and Fido has had his fill), step into the lounge and prepare for a cosy night in. Throw a log or two on the wood burner and sink into a cosy couch as your canine companion claims the very best spot on the hearth.

Close by, you’ll find the hilltop of Binsey (2.5 miles), an easy-to-tackle fell that awards fantastic scenery from its peak. Also not far from home, you’ll find one of the national park’s largest bodies of water, Bassenthwaite Lake. Let Rover sniff out adventure as you explore the lake’s circumference, passing by fishermen, cyclists and hikers who are all eager to experience the Cumbrian countryside’s bountiful outdoor offering. We booked this cottage as the 1st part of our honeymoon and it surpassed all our expectations. Fiona was amazing with her commutation in advance, so so helpful! The cottage was spotless and incredibly cosy, the bed was to die for. The area is lovely and conveniently located for exploring the lakes. We would happily book again.

A fantastic location if you want a remote quiet holiday home. Friendly village especially the cows passing twice a day. Beds were extremely comfortable, bed linen great . Huge space for 4 people but also very cosy evenings by the log fire. Parking was no issue a space was always left by the cottage . Views were incredible and a tea room 2 mins awayRead more . If you want lots of shops and entertainment this is not the place for you! Hide

Nice cottage, lovely scenery but parking was sometimes a challenge as there is no dedicated parking and no garden. There is no local shop and the village pub has now closed. Nice tea room serving excellent food during the day and Sunday lunch was really good.
