Set 4 miles away from the little town of Sedbergh, between the impressive Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, this cottage is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. This makes it the perfect location for long walks through the splendid valleys, hills and moors with your canine companions. Or you could appreciate the views from your cottage by dining outside, with your hound nestled by your side on the patio, warmed by the summer sun.

The cottage is filled with country charm, from the stone walls to the exposed beams, this cosy home is well equipped for a small family and two dogs. The open-plan living space with a kitchen/diner and lounge allows you to enjoy your time together, eating delicious freshly made meals or watching a film on the TV. This space even features a metal spiral staircase which adds to the character of the property. The two bedrooms have full-length windows that brighten up the space with natural light, as well as treating you to outstanding views.

There are several dog-friendly pubs within 4 miles, as well as some charming villages to investigate, such as Dent, 2 miles away, with its cobbled high street and rich history. Due to the proximity to two of England’s finest national parks, there are so many exciting walks and adventures for you and your waggy-tailed ones. Cautley Spout is just 5 miles away and is England’s highest waterfall so is a must-see. Alternatively, you could hike to Firbank Fell, otherwise known as Fox’s Pulpit, a historical religious site with church ruins and a plaque. There are plenty of incredible things for you to see, and places for your hounds to explore in this vast rural landscape.

A really lovely and comfortable cottage, and a warm welcome. There was the occasional traffic, but it is a minor road.
