Positioned within fantastic Lake District walking territory, this handsome holiday home ticks a whole array of boxes for a getaway with man’s best friend. Fill your days with endless walkies, exploring the splendour of Lake Windermere, the appeal of Hawkshead and the intrigue of Coniston with your canine bestie always loyally by your side. Ideally laid out with a pup-loving pack of family or friends in mind, this first-floor apartment invites four guests and two dogs to stay. Whilst you’ll find all the amenities needed for rustling up delicious dinners inside, you’ll be pleased to find yourself just a short stroll from Far Sawrey’s food-serving, dog-friendly local pubs.

This handsome apartment is situated within the grounds of a grand Lakeland building with shared garden space where pups can run around outside. Once inside, find everything you need on one easy floor. The galley kitchen provides plenty of space for serving up a dog’s dinner, whilst you may wish to position their favourite beds in the cosy embrace of the lounge/diner. Leave your four-pawed pals to dream of chasing cats in here as you retire to bed. Two bedrooms, a king-size and a double, sit beside a family bathroom just down the hallway.

Take the gentle 1-mile stroll down to Lake Windermere to find a world of canine-compatible adventure, including a walk along the water or a trip across the water on the popular lake steamer. Claife Heights is also accessible nearby (4 miles), a relatively challenging walk where your furry friend can lead the way to incredible views from the top. Further fells include The Old Man of Coniston (9 miles) and Scafell Pike (17 miles), hikes that any overly energetic bowow is sure to love. For less energetic pups, visit Tarn Hows (5 miles) and follow its easy-going circular route.

Lovely apartment in a wonderful location! Perfect lake district stay for me with brilliant access to many walks from the door and not far from Ambleside/Windermere via ferry and good access to go further to other lakes too. Great space with great views from the living room, everything easy to use and I can imagine the garden is lovely to sit out inRead more the evening .. in the spring/summer. A lovely location in Far Sawrey, walking distance from the Cuckoo Brow Inn which serves lovely food throughout the day. A dog friendly flat that can service the needs of up to four visitors and their EV extremely well as a charging point is available in each of the dedicated parking bays.

Pros: Spacious, quiet and comfortable apartment in lovely rural setting with great views. We enjoyed our stay. Cons: Cobwebs & spiders in bedroom. Shower very average with no shower gel. Kitchen lacked a few basics such as foil and salt & pepper.

Clear instructions; found it straightaway. Handy man parked in our spot but happily moved when he realised. Great location & views. Overall though a little disappointed with the apartment. Welcome Pack was underwhelming & no soap to wash dishes. The toilet roll holder fell off the wall as it wasnt secured & the shower pressure was poor. Fire remoteRead more didnt work & we couldnt get it to heat. Visitors Book was tatty. Wouldnt be suitable for two couples as 2nd bedroom is small with no wardrobes Hide

The location is the main drawideal for exploring the Lakes with beautiful surroundings. Inside is well-furnished; streaming on Smart TV worked, though 2mb upload speed made photo backups difficult (5G was reliable). Some areas felt tired: loose toilet roll holder, jammed bath plug, cobwebs, & an exposed Ethernet socket with a sharp screw. The propeRead morerty is hard to find, & the garden is only accessible via very steep steps with no handrail and limited space at the top for managing gate & dog Hide

The apartment is clean & comfortable with good walks on your doorstep. Just be aware that theres 2 flights of stairs from the entrance to the apartment itself. The Cookoo Brow Inn is just around the corner but we preferred the Tower Bank Arms at Hilltop for a cosy drink/meal.

Lovely first floor accommodation with stunning views over rolling countryside of Far Sawrey and the South Lake District. Had everything we needed to be comfortable. Walks from the door to Moss Eccles tarn ( our dog gave this 5*), 5 minutes walk to the Cookoo Brow Inn for tea. An excellent spot. Would recommend

This was a wonderful apartment, well equipped, comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The view is really special. There is a small garden area overlooking near Sawrey, which is nice for morning coffee with views and for the dog. The location is great, there are walks straight from the house if thats what you want, rather than driving. Lovely property , enjoyed a lovely week. Clean and Tidy on arrival . Only one criticism is the very steep stairs into property and to access the garden should be mentioned in advert as advertised as Dog friendly but if you or Dog have mobility issues are a problem
