Book a stay in Ullock, close to the fringes of the Lake District, and take up to three delighted dogs on lakeside and coastal walks. This three-bedroom cottage, which also sleeps up to six guests, is in an excellent location for getting out and about in the Cumbrian outdoors. Venture 3 miles to reach the national park or 6.5 miles to pick up a section of the Cumbria Coastal Way. Return home to relax in your south-facing garden to the sound of the babbling brook while your contented canines play on the grass.
Step into this inviting cottage to find light-filled accommodation with all the creature comforts you might require for your stay. Wander through to the kitchen/diner to replenish water bowls, prepare food and pop dog blankets into the washing machine. Lay the table for the human members of your party then settle in the lounge with your hounds at your feet. Light the open fire then watch the TV with Sky or a DVD before heading off to the ground-floor bathroom for a hot bubble bath. As night falls, climb the steep, cottage-style stairs to a king-size room, with an en-suite shower room, or a double, both with TVs. Head on up to the floor above to a twin room, also with a TV, and with low, sloping ceilings. Take the pups out into the garden in the morning; dine out here too on fine days. There is parking for one medium-sized car on the road and additional space close by, subject to availability.
Venture 3 miles from the cottage to Loweswater, where you and your bouncing hounds can strike out on a 4-mile walk around the lake. Drive 8 miles to Parton, where your energetic pups can bound free across the beach and splash in the salty water.
