Give your dog the adventure of a lifetime when staying in this rural Cumbrian cottage, within easy reach of the scenic coastline and the mighty Lake District National Park. Despite being a dog-friendly cottage, this place by no means skrimps on stylish interiors and exceptionally comfortable furnishings, all-in-all creating a wonderful base for savouring the end of every action-packed day. The canine-compatible cottage offers two bedrooms and plenty of shared spaces both indoors and out, merrily accommodating a group of four guests and two dogs overall.

Tails are sure to wag as you enter this delectable holiday home, heading in via the conservatory and stepping into the kitchen/diner. With a handy utility room and laundry facilities just off, this is a great first destination for giving wet fur and muddy paws a wipe-down before settling into the rest of the place. Next door sits a lounge space with soft seating, a Smart TV and a wood burner effect gas fire, another exceptionally inviting spot for your pups to curl up at night. Leave sleeping dogs to lie downstairs as you venture up to bed, finding two king-size bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. Finally, ample outdoor space next to the property makes this holiday home a truly pup-friendly place.

Pack a tennis ball and head to Maryport (3 miles), your nearest town and a place to embark on a coastal walk in the Solway Coast AONB. Stretching up to the sand dunes of Mawbray Banks (8.5 miles) and beyond, there are ample seascapes to take in as you walk your dog around this beautiful area. For further walks and hikes inland, take a trip to Cockermouth (4.5 miles) and embark on a northern Lake District adventure.

Fabulous spotless comfortable cottage set beside a gorgeous babbling brook with beautiful patio areas as well as use of the Owners' fabulous large field! Great location for exploring both the more northerly Lakes as well Read moreas the Cumbrian coast. Highly recommend stunning easy walks round Buttermere and Loweswater, boat trip on Derwentwater and exploring fabulous Keswick which enjoys the most gorgeous location for a town! Nearby Cockermouth is charming with the walk along the river past the castle a must. A bracing stroll along the prom at Silloth with its incredible views across the Solway Firth to Scotland is yet another highlight. Numerous dog friendly cafes, pubs and restaurants in the area - our favourite was a special breakfast at nearby Bassenthwaite Lake Station on train carriages featured in the 2017 Murder on the Orient Express film. To top it all, the Owners of Swallows Nest, Steve and Lesley, are so very kind, friendly and helpful - thank you so much both for your exceptional hospitality! Dave, Mandy & Milo xxx Hide
