Open the French doors on warm days so he can wander outside. Also at this level, you have a utility room, a family bathroom and a king-size bedroom. After supper, call your cheerful chum to accompany you up the stairs to the lounge, where he can stretch out and dream about his exciting day while you gaze out at the views or watch the Smart TV with Netflix. There’s a WC at this level too, plus a twin bedroom and a single. Set off from the cottage on a walk of under 2 miles to reach beautiful Derwentwater. From here, you can embark upon a section of the 10-mile loop right around the picturesque lake. Or, make your way into Keswick to take a cruise out on the water, with your delighted dog by your side.
