Property code: OC-AG692

Immerse yourself in the Lochside setting of this holiday home in Tayvallich, Argyll and Bute, where a small canine companion will also have the time of their life. Venture out on long walks with far-reaching views across Loch Sween, head through the nature reserve or embark on excursions into Knapdale Forest. Return home to your single-storey property, which sleeps up to four guests, to gaze out across the water.

Absorb the incredible views from inside this Scottish holiday home as soon as you climb the three steps to go inside. There is ample space for your party to spread out, or settle down with your best furry friend in the lounge where you can watch TV. Wander through to the dining room, where Fido can play with his favourite toy while you have a cup of tea. Feed him in the kitchen where there is also a useful washing machine, then take him for one last walk before bed. All the bedrooms share the family bathroom. Bask in the sunshine or play with your happy hound in the enclosed garden (reached via a steep ramp) on warm days.

Take your pal down to the beach at the loch’s edge to leave paw prints on the sand but keep him on a lead due to all the wandering chickens. Stretch his legs further with a stroll beside the waters of Loch Sween and look out for deer, seals and otters along the way. Walk around 4 miles along the peninsula to Taynish and enjoy the glorious scenery of the nature reserve, which begins less than 1 mile from your base. Or make your way to Knapdale Forest, about 5 miles away, to explore the stunning woodland - your pup can accompany you on the Beaver Trail.

The most special thing about Knapp Cottage is the fantastic location and the beautiful view. Shame about the tired interior and the regular mice visiting, leaving their foul mess and smell behind."
