Sleeping six guests, plus two canine companions, it is approximately 1 mile from the shores of beautiful Ullswater, where you can pick up a section of the 20-mile loop that takes you all the way around the magnificent lake. The shared garden at the property will also get tails wagging.
Wander into the bright cottage to light the open fire and settle in the lounge with your furry friends after exhilarating hikes. Find a film on the TV/DVD, listen to music via the iPhone/iPod dock or read your book before making your way into the kitchen/diner to top up water bowls and serve dinner to all members of your party, including those with four legs. You have a handy washing machine in here too. Make your way upstairs to the first floor, where a twin bedroom and the family bathroom are situated. Take six more stairs up to either of the double bedrooms, one with a four-poster bed, and the family shower room. Soak up the Cumbrian sunshine out in the garden at every opportunity and throw a ball for the pups out here too. There is plenty of parking.
Walk or drive down to Pooley Bridge to board a steamer with your furry friends and take in the glorious views from the water. Leap off near Aira Force Waterfall for more wonderful views. There are plenty of waterside pubs within 2 miles of the cottage where your happy hounds are also welcome to rest their weary paws and enjoy some well-earned refreshment.
