An ideal holiday home for a family of five and two dogs, this property is simultaneously modern and traditional, making it a pretty property with all the mod-cons necessary to enjoy a short or long stay in the village of Coniston.

Situated to the front of the house, the kitchen is traditionally designed but with bright, funky accents; an excellent fusion of styles. With plenty of space and windows looking out onto an abundance of woodland, you’ll be more than equipped to feed the family. Following through into the cosy living room, you’ll find another traditionally decorated country room with comfortable sofas facing a central wood burner, perfect for creating a homely atmosphere whilst catching up with the TV and making the cosiest sleeping space for your dozy pup. Plenty of space in these living areas means the five of you won’t be pushed for space, even with two dogs in tow. Upstairs is a spacious master double bedroom, which is furnished in natural wood, another cosier double and a single bedroom, perfect for a child. All three bedrooms share one modern family bathroom. A small enclosed patio offers a picnic bench for outdoor light lunches and a bench for you to keep an eye on the dog and while you bask in some Cumbrian sun.

Located half a mile from the centre of Coniston village, you’re only a short walk from some excellent countryside pubs. The village is home to The Old Man of Coniston, a legendary fell for walking and cycling routes, and the property lies only 1 mile from Coniston Water, where you can hire boats or spend a relaxing day fishing from the pier. Further afield, Lake Windermere is 10 miles away and is a must-see for your Lake District break.

A great location,highly recomended.Just be aware that access to the property is narrow & steep-advise a small car.Could be an issue with an MPV/SUV.It's your choice.

We loved our stay at Three Shires. Perfectly located just off the main road, its peaceful yet only a short stroll to the village and shops. Ideal for walks straight from the door to the mountains or lake. Communication from the owner was excellent, quick and supportive throughout. Lovelly house that is well located, very clean and comfortable with good facilities. Towels a bit past their best, but passable. Would recommend and may return.

Lovely cottage, comfy and clean. Perfect base to introduce our toddler to the lakes. We already love Coniston and everything we needed was so close by. The cottage is very well stocked, we didnt want for anything!

In a quiet location on the side of the fell but within easy walking distance of all the facilities and with stunning views across the lake from upstairs. Very well equipped and comfortable with thoughtful provision for dogs. The garden is beautifully terraced with views from the top section of the fells and lake. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Three Springs cottage and it didnt disappoint. Fantastic location, lovely cottage and garden. The village is perfect with a great choice of hiking options on the doorstep. And a great choice of places to eat and drink when youve finished!

A beautiful light and airy cottage in a near perfect location. We didnt use the car all week as we could walk from the place. For two couples an additional bathroom/ toilet would make it perfect.

Perfect cottage for us (family of 4 - toddler and baby, with a beagle). Super clean cottage with everything you need. Nice pubs in walking distance, lots of toddler friendly walks close by.

A fabulous property, in a great location. It was so peaceful, even though not too far from the main road. The drive up to it isn't for the faint-hearted. Steep and narrow, but you soon get used to it. Best to have a lookout, when exiting back onto the main road at the bottom of the hill. The property itself was really clean and well equipped. The gRead morearden was fabulous (unlike the weather), but we still managed to have a BBQ or 2. The views are spectacular. We would love to return, as soon as able. Hide
