Get away from it all in this stylish cottage, deep in the Lake District National Park. Sleeping six guests and two pups, the chic bolthole is ideal for large families and groups of friends. You’ll have a fantastic selection of dog walks directly from the property, including the Coledale Horseshoe, which takes you over several Wainwright fells. The cosy cottage is warmed by a beautiful wood burner and has a roll-top bath to sink into after a long hike. The enclosed garden is a doggy delight, with a large lawn to race around on and mature borders to sniff and explore.

The elegant cottage has been impeccably decorated, with cool tones creating a relaxed atmosphere and contemporary furniture bringing a sense of style. The gorgeous kitchen/diner is a bright space, designed with entertaining in mind. Rustle up a tasty meal in the sleek kitchen before coming together around the dining table for an evening of great food and laughter. This is an excellent spot for the dog beds, thanks to the hard floors. There’s a further wood burner in the fabulous lounge, where you can relax on the plush sofa and watch the TV/DVD. Sip a morning coffee on the patio, or head down the ramp to stroll around the large garden whilst the woofers stretch their legs.

Whinlatter Forest Park is just 2.5 miles away and is a brilliant family and dog-friendly attraction. You’ll find a vast network of waymarked walks guaranteed to get tails wagging and ears flapping, as well as Go Ape for the adrenaline-seekers amongst the group. A lovely homely cottage. Very comfortable and cosy. Everything one needs to cook and relax if one wishes to eat in. The village has enough places to go out to for either a meal or a drink. Yet its not as crowded or busy as being in Keswick. Foresters cottage is close to many local areas worth visiting and lots of walks that one can do from the cottRead moreage. Have stayed here before and would definitely come back again. A dog friendly cottage too. Hide

Foresters cottage was lovely for our short break in the Lakes. It is much larger than the pictures show with 2 large king size rooms and a room with full size bunk beds. The lounge was very comfortable and the kitchen had so many plates, glasses etc which was excellent. Thoroughly recommend a trip to the local pub, The Royal Oak, for dinner.

A very comfortable cottage, tastefully decorated. Lovely garden. The village has pubs, shop and cafe. Central location for the northern Lakes. Worth taking the bus when it's busy to Keswick, Borrowdale, Honister, Buttermere or Whinlatter forest.
