Relax and unwind at this charming property in the centre of Newnham, ideal for families, friends and two canine companions seeking a peaceful base for outdoor adventures in the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley. The River Severn is just steps from the property, for scenic river walks and, at certain times, a glimpse of the famous Severn Bore. There are plenty of nearby attractions, including the Forest of Dean (7 miles), where no stick will remain unfetched.

Step inside this attractive two-storey cottage, featuring plenty of welcoming social spaces, and follow your pups to the inviting open-plan living space with a characterful exposed wooden beam and comfortable seating. Settle in with a drink and some snacks and spend the evening watching your favourite family box set on the Smart TV. The lounge opens onto a dining space with a feature ornamental fireplace, a generously sized dining table, and chairs to linger over delicious meals. The contemporary kitchen has all the appliances you need to whip up tasty treats. Stairs from the lounge lead upstairs to a split landing, where you’ll find a family bathroom and three comfortable bedrooms - an attractive twin and two double bedrooms, with garden views. Wander outside to relax in the enclosed garden set over multiple levels, where younger guests and your hounds can play. A patio with a table and chairs provides a pretty spot for a relaxed afternoon tea. On-street parking on the main road is subject to availability.

Children and pups will love to hop on the Dean Forest Railway. Set tails wagging with a picturesque waterside walk at Symonds Yat or head to Tintern and explore the Abbey before taking the hike up to the Devil’s Pulpit and returning for a pub meal; both sit within 16 miles.
