Visit RHS Rosemoor (8.5 miles), where well-behaved dogs on short leads are allowed in certain areas every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, or head to Dartmoor National Park, the edge of which is around 17 miles away, for wild hikes in beautiful scenery. The coast is only 14 miles or so distant, with Peppercombe beach welcoming canine companions all year round. When you return, the dog-friendly pub in Shebbear is only 1.5 miles away from home.
