Explore the beautiful English Riviera from this charming cottage in the bustling town of Brixham. With several dog-friendly beaches and the scenic South West Coast Path to discover, not to mention the rugged wilds of Dartmoor just 16 miles away, this area of South Devon is a pup’s paradise. After fun-filled days, return to the cottage to tuck into your locally caught seafood beneath exposed beams while your faithful friend snoozes on the cosy rug.

Brimming with charm, this period cottage retains plenty of original features throughout, from its exposed beams to its feature fireplace, with the recent additions of soft carpets and rugs for those pups who appreciate their creature comforts. Pick up some fresh fish from the harbour to cook and enjoy in the kitchen, before settling in for a relaxing night of TV in the charming lounge. The period features continue into the four well-presented bedrooms, all of which are fitted with TVs for those lazy mornings in bed, if your faithful friend allows.

Steeped in maritime history, the beautiful harbourside town of Brixham has plenty to offer its visitors on both two and four legs. Browse the dog-friendly cafes and pubs or discover the 40 different species of fish, and their enticing aromas, at Brixham Fish Market. Salty sea dogs can choose between the sandy and pebbled stretches at Fishcombe Cove, Shoalstone Beach, St Mary’s Bay and Breakwater Beach, all within 1 mile of the property, while those with all four of their sea legs can hop on board a ferry boat to neighbouring Torquay.

This was our second stay in this cottage and once again we enjoyed our week. A comfortable and relaxed week in a property that is very well placed for a great holiday.

Lovely cottage, plenty of room for 6 adults, but had to work around 1 toilet/bathroom. Quite tight to park car, but our car was quite large. Older adults with joint problems, may find the stairs challenging. We had a problem with the toaster, but this was remedied within 24hrs, our texts were answered very quick We would have no hesitation in cominRead moreg back to stay. Hide

The cottage is well equipped and in a good location, albeit on a busy road. There is no garden, so not ideal for dogs. Met neighbours on both sides, both friendly and helpful. Our only negative is the stairs, there is no bannister and they are very slippery. Our dog hated them and had to be carried down the stairs.

Very nice property, presented in a very good fashion from a conscientious owner. Very happy with the accommodation, everything you could need was available to us inside the cottage. Stone Beam was a great place to base ourselves on a trip to Devon. It just needs a bigger parking space or more available closer but that shouldnt put you off! Nice little cottage tucked away off the road. Accommodates 6 adults comfortably. Some really nice quiet beaches close by if you dont mind a bit of a steep walk. Vibrant shopping and restaurants nearby.

Enjoyed our stay. Bit dark downstairs and no garden at all. Parking is very tight. Very clean interior. Well equipped kitchen. Not far from the harbour and shops. Open staircase so probably not for young children.
