There’ll be no need to leave your darling dogs in the kennels when booking a stay on Somerset’s exquisite coastline, staying in this striking Grade-II listed property on the outskirts of Minehead. With as much charm and intrigue inside as it’s got outside, this lovely cottage provides a truly restorative space for two guests and two dogs to spend time throughout all 365 days of the year. Let your pups roam free in your private lawn space, fully enclosed to ensure your four-pawed pals' security, or pop them on the lead to wander around the 3-acre paddock with goats, sheep and a Shetland pony.

Instantly welcoming for man and dog alike, step inside to be greeted by a generous canine goody bag filled with dog towels, treats and a water bowl. Having enjoyed their treats, your dogs are then welcome to find the cosiest spot in the house in which to curl up. This might be in the lovely living/dining room that’s been lovingly decorated in a traditional style. Just next door you’ll find the compact kitchen. Down the hallway leads to a double bedroom and a bathroom. Finally, amongst other outdoor spaces, the property boasts a shared swimming pool for your use.

Really nicely laid out accommodation ideal for couples. There is a small kitchen which was well equipped with a cooker, kettle, fridge freezer and Microwave oven. The bathroom has a shower above the bath which may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues but the shower itself was great, very powerful and as good as any hotel I have ever stayRead moreed in. The double bedroom was spacious and there is a wardrobe and chest of drawers plus 2 bedside cabinets, so plenty of storage for 2 people. This cottage is very close to the swimming pool which was absolutely fantastic. You could just stay around the pool all day if you wish or use the cottage as a base for touring around the area. The grounds which contain the gardens are enchanting, and there is a childrens play park and picnic area in there should you wish to use it. There is also a field with some sheep, goats and a couple of Shetland ponies. Mine head itself is a short drive away or you could walk there if you choose. The view from the pool across the valley is simply stunning. All pool towels were provided together with tea towels and bed linen. This is at least the third time I have used Holiday cottages and I have never been disappointed. I would certainly not hesitate to go back or recommend to a friend. Excellent accommodation. Hide

As this was a self catering cottage, it was little short of cooking equipment. The kitchen was extremely small and the fridge/freezer was inadequate and too low. In all, I think the cottage was overpriced for its size and location. One suggestion is het rid of the cooker, replace it with a larger fridge /freezer and get an airfryer. In conclusionRead more, I have to say that David and Leonora were very friendly and helpful Hide
