Set within 22.5 acres of ancient woodland, with direct access to Eggesford Forest, is this rustic holiday experience, where you can live a simple life in a wooden glamping lodge. This property makes an ideal romantic retreat for those wanting to get away from it all. Two guests and their two dogs are welcome to stay in the one-bedroom home, located on a working farm with walking trails and bridle paths leading directly from the property.

Upon arrival, a gated decked area leads you to the entrance of your wooden cabin. The central area houses the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining space where you can curl up by the wood burner and watch TV in a cosy ambience. The kitchen provides everything you need to whip up a meal, so if a reclusive retreat is what you’re after there’s no need to leave the home. The real charm of this property is the furniture, with the dining area incorporating a table made from the farm’s own oak trees; the ideal spot to share a romantic meal and a glass of wine or two. Loungers can be found on the enclosed deck area outside, adding to the relaxed theme running through the property.

If you can tear yourself away from this hidden gem, you can explore the wild expanses of Dartmoor and Exmoor with walks leading in both directions from the home. North and South Devon coasts provide a rugged coastline and sandy beaches where water sports can be enjoyed. You and your beau may prefer to stroll through picturesque flora and fauna at RHS Rosemoor (17 miles away) which has year-round events and a wonderful cafe for a quick bite to eat.

A beautiful, quirky hideaway in a gorgeous position. It really feels like you are in a gorgeous little tree house, amoung the trees. Cosy, well equipped bolthole, with lovely friendly hosts. We loved it. The dogs loved it, and we will be back! 11 out of 10!

The cabin is full of handmade character and steeped in peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by trees and set right in the private ancient woodlands. The cabin is amazing if you want to get away from the world for a bit. Such peace and tranquility. No noise, no light pollution, just beautiful wood walks, and lovely people if you venture out and about. Very narrow lanes, not for the faint-hearted and steep hills, but gorgeous views. Hosts were lovely, helpful, and friendly. Highly recommended.
