Pop on the lead, step out of the cottage and you're moments from a walking route which your pup will adore. This beautiful property, close to market towns and the dog-friendly beaches of the Jurassic Coast, is pure heaven for hounds, and a great destination for four people, whether two couples (each with their own en-suite) or a small family.
Enter through the courtyard and down some steps before leading your mutt through the door of this carefully converted farm building. Inside, the open-plan living area is simply stunning - featuring a high ceiling with A-frame beams, exposed stonework and a mix of vintage and modern furnishings. The kitchen at one end includes everything necessary for holiday cooking, with an adjacent dining table for four. After supper, settle your pet and throw a log on the wood burner before relaxing in the comfortable lounge area for a chilled evening at home. When you feel sleepy, the two inviting bedrooms await - a king-size with an en-suite shower room, and a twin with an en-suite bathroom. For playing with your canine companion in the fresh air, head to your patio, screened from your neighbour for privacy, and where you can dine in the sunshine or under the stars. Up the steps, the shared courtyard is enclosed and welcomes dogs on leads.
Access the fabulous walking, cycling and riding trail of the Wessex Ridgeway just steps from your holiday home - the route passes through gorgeous Dorset countryside dotted with ancient monuments. The Iron Age hill forts of Lewesdon Hill and Pilsdon Pen are both within 3.5 miles. The gorgeous beaches of the Jurassic Coast are 8 miles away, with Eype Beach welcoming canine companions all year. For a chilled night out, the pub in Stoke Abbott, 1.5 miles, welcomes well-behaved dogs in its bar.
