Grab your four-legged friend, harness up and head to this delightful property just 12 miles from sand and sea where sticks and picnic spots await. Surrounded by adventure spots, explore to your heart’s content then return home to this cosy bolthole feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Spend quality time snuggling up by the wood burner on chilly evenings or lapping up the last of the day’s sunshine on the patio which harbours glorious countryside views.

Step inside where you are greeted by the relaxing open-plan living space. The kitchen/dining/lounge areas are bright and inviting as light floods in through the patio doors. Enjoy the calming ambience from the sofa, where you can put your feet and paws up and switch on the TV, or close your eyes and feel the warmth of the wood burner – a firm favourite with furry guests whose tails need heating up after a walk. The kitchen is decorated with vibrant tiles to add a splash of colour as you rustle up family favourites. The patio is a great place to spend mornings, whether you wish to sit down and enjoy a coffee or stretch your legs and wag your tail; please be wary of the pond which is unfenced. A double bedroom welcomes dozy heads and tired eyes and freshening up is light work in the wet room-style bathroom with a large shower.

Head to the beach for sandy toes and salty hair 12 miles away at Bigbury-on-Sea where canine chums are welcomed to splash in the sea and chew sticks. Wander the Hoe and Barbican at Plymouth, just 19 miles from home, or walk off the beaten track on the magical moors of Dartmoor.

A beautiful little lodge, perfect for us two and our dog. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dog and we enjoyed watching the animals in the fields and the ducks on the pond.

This cottage was set in a lovely rural area with plenty of lovely places to visit. It was a peaceful place. As a single person there were other habitations nearby so was not completely isolated. Lovely lodge in a quiet countryside location. Plenty of sheep with their lambs to watch in the sunshine when it chose to shine. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful location.

Lovely cottage but not being able to leave your dogs for a short time is unacceptable ie going for shopping or having to visit minor injuries unit and having neighbours from the Granary looking through our windows as we caught them. Having cars speeding out of property and blasting horns does congeal with us. If you want a quiet retreat with your fRead moreurry animals this isn't the place.Noise is definitely an issue and it shouldn't be in the countryside. This isn't a working farm as advertised. Hide

The cottage is all we needed for our 7 day break. It was our second visit and we would stay there again if we were in need of accommodation in the Ivybridge area. Chris ( the owner) is always available should you need him and is very helpful.

We had a lovely stay here. The owner was away when we arrived, but gave instructions on how to access the property. Came to check all was OK when we returned to the cottage the following day. Generally peaceful, although we didn't spend much time there during the day. Lacked some of the little extras we've had at other properties, but had all that Read morewas necessary. Easy access to A38 and we went to both Plymouth and Torbay. Hide
