Take your pets for a scenic jaunt to this charming two-bedroom lodge, ideally located on the edge of the Quantock Hills - a dream for dog walking. It's just 2 miles from the pretty harbour town of Watchet, which boasts museums, historical sites, cobbled streets and - perhaps most importantly - a beach that's dog-friendly all year round. The accommodation, which boasts a spacious garden, has room for four guests and is ideal for a group of friends or a small family.

Inside, the attractive wooden lodge is warm and welcoming, featuring a sociable kitchen/diner where you can tuck into meals together. The lounge, with its French doors and comfy seating, presents a cosy spot to relax with your pets after a day of exploring. There are two cosy bedrooms - one double and one twin - plus a wet room for a quick refresh after long walks. In warm weather, both canine and human guests will love chilling out on the outdoor deck, which has lovely views. The lodge sits within the owner's grounds, and you're welcome to explore the beautifully kept shared gardens. Best of all, there are 30 acres of woodland just across from the property, which the owner permits you to explore with well-behaved pups. Private parking for one car is included.

When you're ready to sniff out the local area, plan woodland adventures and countryside strolls through the Quantock Hills or drive 5 miles west to the heathery moors of Exmoor National Park. Doniford Beach (1 mile) is close by for fossil hunts and paddles, while the stunning St Audrie's Waterfall (0.5 miles) is just the thing for a rewarding end-of-walk view.

A really enjoyable stay at the Norsk Lodge. The host was very welcoming and the lodge was very well equipped and comfortable. Four of us (three adults, one child) had plenty of space. The lodge is located off a very busy main road A39 and the traffic noise is 24/7, so it is not a relaxing place to be. The lodge itself was full of dust and cobwebs and generally not clean. Although it has a wet room, it doesnt have any grab rails. A shower chair is available but not everyone needs that, just some grab rails would help a lot of pRead moreeople. Also, the shower doesnt drain properly so you have to mop the floor every day. As a base for exploring the area its good, but access to and from the property is very dangerous due to the busy roads and tight turns. Hide

Beautiful lodge, decorated nice, clean. The views of the hills and horses, also very pleasent. The host is also very lovely. We did book and pay for this when it said it was increased accessibility, with doors wide enough to fit standard wheelchair. I think this has now changed. we did have a wheelchair user. And unfortunately it wasn't wheelchRead moreair user friendly. The host kind of said this when we arrived. Big step into property, beds too high and no handrail( or anywhere) to hold for the toilet. Wheelchair user did end up going home early. Lodge is right next to a busy road, so very loud in the twin bedroom. The hosts house is on the property, and they feed their horses very early in the morning, we actually enjoyed watchng this, but the horses were loud and it woke us up and something like 6.30 am. Parking was good, short drive to Watchet and minehead. A restaurant near by. Host supplied bread milk and butter, and wine. Cooker was easy to use. Good size fridge too. Living room is very comfy, smart TV easy to use. We would stay here again if it was more accessible. Hide

NOT in any way increased accessibility. Gravel driveway is no good for wheelchairs, narrow pathway to entrance likewise, big threshold to entrance and no ramps, no grab rails in wet room. Thank you for your feedback.
