With such wonderful scenery right on your doorstep, waves and rivers to dip in and woodland, heaths and beaches to explore, it’s doggy heaven here. Set in the stunning Devon countryside on a family-run farm, this comfortable bungalow, welcoming up to two dogs, is set within the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just 3 miles from the famous traffic-free, cobbled village of Clovelly, dogs on leads are welcome, as you take a step back in time.

Accessed via external steps or a ramp, this rural property offers rooms with a view. The light-filled lounge/diner provides a far-reaching panorama of both countryside and coastline. There is a TV with DVD for relaxing entertainment. In the kitchen, guests will find everything they need, including a washer/dryer, ideal after country walks with your dogs. The property has two bedrooms and the family bathroom has the treat of a free-standing bath. On the elevated patio area outside is seating and a BBQ, extending down to lawn with sweeping views to the sea. There is a pond, so keep a watchful eye on children and pets, but you are welcome to explore parts of the farm, which has plenty of animals for you to meet. You can also use the indoor swimming pool and multi-gym.

Beaches at Hartland Quay (6 miles) Westward Ho! (12 miles) and Bude (16 miles) welcome dogs off leads from October 1st – Easter and on selected areas during the summer, but Bucks Mills (5 miles) and Sandymouth (14 miles) welcome dogs all year round. The pretty harbour town of Bideford (10 miles) offers narrow winding streets lined with interesting shops. There, you can take a boat trip out to Lundy Island. Your dog on a lead, is welcome, too, if they have their sea legs!

It was so lovely to stay at this place, wonderful view of the landscape and sea in the distance from dining/lounge, some rainbows when there are rain! Swimming pool is fantastic and is accessible via hall from our place. Lots of place to visit nearby included Hartland Point, Clovelly village, some sand beaches. A hour drive to Tintagel Castle and ORead moreld Post Office National Trust. Hide

This is an amazing place to stay. Comfy, reclining chairs and sofa. Bath and shower. And the pool is wonderful, just 2 steps from the front door. The sauna is also a huge plus, although wasn't working when we were there but didn't really matter to us. This was our second stay and we will 100% be returning again at some point.

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage is peaceful and comfortable with magical views over countryside to the sea. The children spent hours with the animals especially the guinea pigs and loved cuddling the gorgeous owners dogs. The swimming pool was a huge bonus. Had a fantastic 2 weeks here. The owners are very accommodating and friendly and my children loved feeding and stroking the animals every day. Using the pool was a lovely addition at the end of a busy day sight seeing. Its super peaceful and the views are amazing. Great hosts and great location! Having the animals on site was a bonus, we loved the friendly sheep and piglets. Plenty of room to walk the dog on site and a good base for visiting other towns and beaches.

Gallantry Bower was a stunning place to stay, home comforts where perfect, as the the view wow!! Stunning. Close to Bideford, Westward Ho! etc easy to find, loved the goats I was really pleased to get so close it was lovely, nice friendly greeting on arrival, the massive plus for this property has to be the onsite swimming pool which was a fab luxuRead morery to be able to get back into swimming as we'd not swam for over 15 years, we will definitely book again. Gallantry Bower was a lovely clean spacious and comfortable property with everything we needed. The views were beautiful and the pool & sauna room amazing! The hosts were so welcoming, friendly, kind and helpful. Lovely location and lots to do in the area for both adults and children. We loved it here Great swimming pool great views and Great owners they even put the sheep away so The dog Could run round the field thanks again for a great holiday
