Savour the captivating coastal beauty of Devon with a stay in Welcombe, choosing this attractive, inviting family house as your base for endless adventures. The village is home to a welcoming country inn less than 100 metres from your door, creating an easy spot for refreshments after long days spent hiking the coastal path. This footpath is accessed just 1.5 miles away, connecting you to some of the most spectacular cliff-top vantage points along the Devon coastline and offering fantastic opportunities for spotting seabirds and dolphins in the water. Your nearest pebbled beach, Welcombe Mouth, is a secluded spot backed by rugged rock formations – a fantastic place for hikes, rock pooling and admiring its fascinating geology. Sandymouth (10.1 miles) and Northcott Mouth (12.3 miles) beaches are also nearby. Cross over into Cornwall to find a more traditional sandy beach at nearby Bude (11.5 miles). Summerleaze Beach is a destination for surf, sea and sand, and has a beloved sea pool for safe swimming.

Enjoy rolling countryside views and, on a clear day, glimpses of the coast beyond. This wonderful, light and airy abode offers a spacious retreat for up to six guests to call their own. The property is thoughtfully laid out over a single floor and, while there are a few steps leading to the entrance, a level-access option is also available.  At the heart of the house, a large open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with vaulted ceilings creates a bright and sociable hub for family life. It features a well-equipped kitchen alongside plenty of comfortable space for dining, relaxing and entertaining together . In the kitchen, a handsome Rayburn sits centre stage – whilst this shouldn’t be used for cooking, it provides a constant source of warmth as part of the property’s heating system. In the dining area, you’ll also find the cosy addition of a wood burner. After making the most of this sociable space, head into the separate lounge for a moment of peace and quiet. This room features soft sofas, Sky TV and a selection of books and games, allowing you to truly unwind in the evening. At the back of the property, three bedrooms create restful sleeping spots with plenty of room for unpacking and getting ready – one is a super-king-size with a versatile zip-and-link bed, another is a king-size, and the final is a twin. These share two refreshing family bathrooms, both recently renovated with gleaming fixtures and fittings.

Directly outside the property, a wraparound terrace offers a fantastic spot to sit and sip a drink, complete with sea views in the distance. Spend time dining alfresco and soaking up that fresh Devon air. The property also offers a large lawn area, which, although technically enclosed, does feature a steep bank that pets could potentially climb over. Finally, private off-road parking for three cars is available.
