This charming property, one of two set just across the road from Symonds Yat in the Wye Valley, is perfect for couples seeking a restful base from which to explore the scenic Herefordshire countryside. The village of Whitchurch is the gateway to outdoor adventures in the magnificent Wye Valley. There are year-round activities to enjoy including, peaceful riverside walks, hikes, cycle trails or canoeing on the River Wye. Historic Goodrich, 2 miles away, is a must-visit for its 13th-century castle and the popular Coppett Hill Trail. The Forest of Dean is under 10 miles away and invites you to discover the many cycle or walking trails through the historic and ancient woodland. Two ideal destinations within 10 miles are the market towns of Ross-on-Wye, with its 17th-century market house and Tudor architecture and over the border in Wales, Monmouth, the birthplace of King Henry V and home to local vineyards.

Stone steps wind through the front garden to the door of this charming barn conversion, which enjoys a private setting to the rear of the main house. This cottage is in a lovely area with plenty of sights to see in a short drive away. The location is peaceful with a pub in walking distance. The living space is generous and there are two enclosed garden areas. The owners are lovely and Craig was very helpful. Excellent hosts, very friendly. It was lovely to receive a welcome pack for us and the dog. The cottage was very comfortable and cozy and a good base for exploring the area. Thank you for the delicious Lemon Dizzle cake.
