Property code: OC-93577

This picture-postcard retreat is in the peaceful village of Marloes, just 1.5 miles on foot/paw from the golden, sandy beach. The property sleeps four guests and one pup, and is the ideal base for couples and small families looking to explore the dramatic Pembrokeshire coastline. Milford Haven, with its vibrant marina and waterfront, is 9 miles away and has a great choice of paw-friendly eateries.

Hang your coats and dog lead in the hallway, and head into the cosy lounge. This inviting space features vibrant furniture and soft furnishings, offset against whitewashed, stone walls. Spend time here watching a movie, as your canine companion dozes in front of the roaring wood burner. Also on this floor is a snug/dining area, for sharing family mealtimes together or relaxing with a good book. To the rear of the cottage is a characterful kitchen and utility room. This is a good place to set up the dog bed, with direct access to the garden. Completing the ground floor is the family bathroom. The two beautiful bedrooms, which combine rustic charm with contemporary design, are upstairs. Outside, a private garden awaits, with a patio and BBQ for al fresco dining and a large lawn (accessed via a couple of steps) that’s ideal for a game of fetch.

Marloes Sands is a rugged, sandy beach that welcomes four-pawed explorers all year. The coastal scenery here is truly breathtaking, and the area is also a haven for wildlife, including seals which are regularly spotted off the coast. If you and your salty seadog fancy a day on the water, journey to Martin’s Haven (2.5 miles) to board a cruise around Skomer Island. Please note, dogs aren’t permitted on the island, so this is your best option if you are keen to admire the island’s famous puffins.

The cottage was very aesthetically pleasing, we liked the personal touches & art. We did feel these decorative features took precedence over practicality in places. The kitchen was small & wooden surfaces not great to prepare a meal for a family. The bed a beautiful, antique was very uncomfortable! The stairs should also come with a warning, they arRead moree very steep not great for the elderly or very young. The location was great for Skomer. Hide

The cottage is very conveniently located near to Marloes Sands, on a fairly quiet street. The cottage and its furniture and decor are quirky and unique but at the same time the cottage is comfy, cosy and well equipped.

Really nice property in a lovely village. Very convenient for two beautiful beaches. Quaint, cosy, cheerful house which we would highly recommend. Cottage owner easy to reach and attentive to our needs. We had a little problem with electricity to the house but this was promptly fixed by the owner - we appreciate the service and that the owner was vRead moreery available to help. A small gripe was this property was advertised as having a BBQ but this wasn't there. Overall though a great stay, recommended. Hide
