Property code: OC-TYBYR

This delightful cottage is one of five properties within the grounds of a working farm, close to the Cambrian Mountains and the ancient market town of Aberystwyth. Sleeping four guests and two canine companions, you’ll be ideally based for sniffing out scenic walks. Spend your days frolicking in the sea or exploring the breathtaking inland terrain, returning for a well-earned soak in your private hot tub. The owners have even provided a thoughtful welcome pack for an extra special touch.

The property is single-level and spacious, carefully converted from a cattle shed and finished with lots of homely details. Inside, the open-plan living space offers a tranquil haven for relaxing evenings enjoying good food and excellent company. Whip up simple snacks and sumptuous suppers under the watchful eyes of Fido, taking advantage of the country cottage-style kitchen. Hose down sandy paws ready for bedtime, sinking into the cosy beds as Mutley snoozes in his basket. Outside, the garden is perfect for safely stretching all four limbs. Younger guests will love letting off some steam on the shared play equipment.

You’ll be spoilt for choice of how to fill your itinerary, as there’s plenty to satisfy all tastes and interests. For foodies, the town of Aberystwyth (6 miles) is brimming with fantastic eateries, and also has lots in the way of entertainment. A marvellous beach, promenade and pier are brilliant for those who love a traditional seaside holiday, and the funicular railway and Camera Obscura are a ‘must-see’ too. Nature enthusiasts should visit Nant yr Arian 8 miles away, where you can watch the Red Kites being fed or simply enjoy a wander throughout the stunning woodland.

The hosts were so helpful, friendly and great to communicate with. The cottage was great but most of all, the view was absolutely out of this world. We stayed for 7 nights in August and will be returning very soon.
