Listen to the waves rolling into shore from this stunning seafront holiday home in Aberdovey. A short 500-metre stroll brings you to the sandy beach, which has a section for woofers all year, and the village’s independent shops and eateries are within 0.5 miles. The property has large social spaces for spending quality time together and an enclosed courtyard for your canine companions.

A couple of steps lead to the four-storey townhouse, which beautifully combines period features with contemporary decor and design. Large windows and high ceilings create a sense of grandeur throughout the property. The spacious kitchen/diner has ample space for the hounds to set up camp beside the cosy wood burner, along with an elegant dining table, window seat, and all the equipment needed to cater for the group. A shower room and utility room complete the ground floor. Heading upstairs, a glorious lounge awaits, with spectacular bay windows looking out to sea. Unwind here after a long dog walk, reading a book in the window seat or catching up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. The first floor also houses the family bathroom and a pretty twin bedroom. Two more bedrooms and a shower room are located on the second floor, and a steep, cottage-style staircase leads to the remaining bedroom, set under the eaves on the third floor. This king-size bedroom has characterful low beams and its own en-suite shower room. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed courtyard with a handy shower for cleaning sandy paws and a lockable door for storing outdoor equipment. There’s also a foldaway table and chairs for outdoor dining. To the front of the property is a small terraced area with a bench where you can relax with a glass of wine and admire the sea views.

Stride out along the sand for an exhilarating beach walk with Rover and Fido, before heading into the heart of the village to sample some delicious local dishes in one of the many woof-welcoming eateries. The village is popular with water sports enthusiasts and you can try your hand at sailing, canoeing, and paddleboarding, or perhaps enjoy a round of golf on the championship golf course. Alternatively, head into Snowdonia National Park for a dog walk amongst jaw-dropping scenery.

Lovely location and property which was advertised as pet friendly. The kitchen is on the ground floor and then the first floor is where the lounge/ main living space is, on arrival there is a sign saying no dogs upstairs, which meant that we had to spend our time sitting on dinning room chairs or a window seat in the kitchen. We left the property 2Read more days early. I would not recommend this property if you have a dog with you. Hide

The accommodation was spotlessly clean, is very spacious and extremely comfortable with panoramic sea views. The beds are exceptionally comfortable! While dogs are allowed, there are notices to say they're not allowed upstairs. As the lounge is located upstairs it seems that although dogs are allowed, they are not welcome in areas other than the kiRead moretchen. The kitchen used to have a settee in the bay window but this has been replaced by a built-in seating area which is uncomfortable. Hide
