Located in the lovely hamlet of Cyffylliog, the cottage is less than 500m from the local pub and 3 miles from the historic market town of Ruthin, which is renowned for its excellent crafts centre as well as a Victorian gaol and a variety of independent shops and cafes. At the Llyn Brenig reservoir and visitor centre, 9.5 miles, you have more than 2,500 acres of forest, moorland and lakes to explore, and its cafe has a balcony where furry friends are welcome.

The property is in the most beautiful and peaceful location and has so much potential. The space is perfect and just what you need for two people it could easily accommodate 4 adults. There are some lovely walks around and the Red Lion is a great little pub with really good food, would definitely recommend. Property is decorated really nice and theRead more facilities are great. However the property could do with higher cleaning standards as that was the one thing that let it down, especially when guests are asked to strip beds/recycle to help the cleaning process on checkout. Lovely cottage in such a peaceful spot! Our aim was to get away from the mayhem and chaos which happens on a Bank Holiday weekend where we live. This place delivered! Lovely nearby walks. Very comfortable accommodation very tastefully presented. Thank you!

This is a lovely cottage, very clean with good quality towels and bed linen. The garden is much smaller than shown on the pictures and because of the low fences, you are asked to keep your dog on a lead in the garden, which is not practical. When we arrived at the cottage we were very happy with our choice. A beautiful peaceful location and not too far from places to explore. There is a lovely walk along the river to exercise our pooch. The Red Lion does very nice curries too. The owner was knowledgeable and helpful and on hand if we needed him. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Whilst the first impressions of the cottage were excellent it became apparent of what the cottage lacks. Lack of cupboard space, confusing recycling system ( labels torn), no washing machine, no freezer section in the fridge and the garden is deceptively small in the online photographs. The Old Rectory was a lovely stay, in an ideal area, though as expected the roads around were very narrow! The local pub was lovely and very welcoming, and would definitely recommend. The space in the cottage was ideal and Paul was more than welcoming.
