Going up the external stairs to the front door, you go into the lovely, light lounge/kitchen/diner with an amazing beamed ceiling, where you’ll want to spend the evening curled up on the sofas in front of the Smart TV while the pup does the same on the rug in front of the wood burner. The kitchen has everything you need for eating in, and you can enjoy fun mealtimes together at the dining table. Head downstairs to bed in the gorgeous double, it’s classically stylish with a lovely wooden bed and en-suite bathroom, and the good-sized twin, which has a smart en-suite shower room. On balmy evenings, take a drink out to the patio to enjoy the peaceful location and the last of the sun.
Grab the lead and head to the beach (less than 1 mile away), 2 miles of golden sands the pup is welcome on 365 days a year (with some restrictions during the summer). Go for a walk along the varied terrain of the beautiful South Devon Coast Path or park the dog and have a go at surfing. Walk or cycle along the Tarka Trail, take the footpath south along the riverbank to the market town of Bideford (2 miles), or north to the pretty fishing village of Appledore (2 miles).
