A number of excellent walking routes start from the town, such as the 4.5-mile-long Aberdovey circular walk which takes in a medieval castle site and far-reaching views of the Dyfi Estuary and Cambrian coast. If you fancy driving deeper into the national park, Dolgoch Falls (10 miles) and Cregennan Lakes (19.5 miles) are both excellent spots for exploration with your furry friend.
