Embrace the picturesque North Wales countryside and coast from this striking contemporary lodge, which was once featured on Channel 4’s ‘Coast vs Country’ television show. Based in Snowdonia National Park, the property is perfect for outdoorsy small families and their nature-loving pooch, with the 3 acres of grounds and natural pond that surround the lodge sure to give Fido a new leash of life. The decked area immediately outside the lodge is gated so that your doggies can have freedom while you have the doors open wide.

The light-filled timber lodge boasts superb mountain and valley views from its elevated position, and with its large windows and patio doors, there’s no forgetting exactly where you are here. Relax in the cosy and contemporary lounge and read a book as the natural sunlight pours in or unwind on the gravel patio and listen to the gentle trickle of the nearby stream as you watch the sun set. The stylish bedrooms are comfortable and there’s even space for the pooch to make him or herself at home.

Bring your bicycle or canoe and enjoy the wonderful coast and countryside; there’s a secure store on site to keep them safe. All you will really need to pack though is a good pair of walking boots, ready to explore the National Park and all its delights, plus the nearby Bodnat Gardens (4 miles) and 13th century Tyn-y-Groes Castle (3.5 miles). If you have walked far enough, take to the water at Surf Snowdonia (4 miles) - one of the few places on Earth you can surf inland! - or fish at Conwy Water Gardens, just 1 mile away.

We had a lovely stay at Owls nest which was so well equipped , clean , comfortable and modern . Perfect location if you need to switch off and have peace and quiet but ideal to access lots of other popular locations without driving too far. Our only negative was the outside area , this needed to be weeded and tidied up as a bit overgrown which was Read morea shame compared to the rest of the property as it looked a bit unkept from the outside . We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation and would happily return in the future. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. The space was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing visit. What really stood out was the attention to detail from the cozy furniRead moreshings to the little touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The location was also ideal, making it easy to explore the surrounding area while still enjoying a peaceful environment. Overall, it exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. Hide

Nice clean lodge with good size rooms and everything you need inside. We had a lovely view and even though it is near the road it was very peaceful. It was a good location for us to explore the area. There is a small field area onsite to let your dog run around but no where else to take a walk without driving. There is a pub 10 mins walk down the Read moreroad but you need to drive to it as there is only a verge along the road to walk along. We enjoyed our stay Hide

Quiet, peaceful location. Even the nearby resident peacock was politely quiet :) Outstanding view. Lodges impeccably clean (we stayed in the oldest one i think, Owls Nest). Wi-fi very good despite the intro email stating it may not be good for streaming. Bathrooms and en-suites modern and spotless, as was the rest of the lodge. Would stay again witRead moreh no hesitation. Hide

Snowdonia Lodges occupy a beautiful location close to Conwy but disappointingly for us there was NOWHERE to walk our dogs safely from within the site. The only thing to do was to get in the car ... and this is something we strive to do as little of when taking time away from Home.

Our lodge had everything we needed, little extras like dishwasher tablets were great, we had our dog with us and had everything we needed. We wanted a dog friendly pub within walking distance that served food, the Groes Inn was down the road, the downside was when walking the road was busy and no pavement so we drove the next time we went on our WeRead moredding Anniversary as it didn't feel safe. Lovely secure grounds and enclosed for our dog (he's big and young) and felt safe with CCTV in operation. Hide

As previous guests have commented the property is clean, cared for but tired. We had a good week here but were found the lane too steep and narrow to walk safely. We really enjoyed the views and Aberdyfi is a lovely place- certainly reccomend Coast!
