Sniff out adventures through five acres of beautiful gardens situated around this delightful and characterful property set in the Dyfi Valley. Dating back 300 years and brimming with traditional features, this property is the perfect Welsh retreat for a family of four and your beloved canine companion.

Head inside this pretty cottage and be welcomed immediately into the distinctive, beamed lounge/diner. Take a seat on the sofas in front of the Smart TV while the dog warms up their paws in front of the wood burner that’s set in an original inglenook fireplace. Rustle up delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen that offers plenty of storage and preparation space. When you are ready for some well-deserved rest, head upstairs to the two charming bedrooms. First up is a fabulous double room with four poster bed, and secondly is a twin bedroom, both boast lovely views across the gardens and share a family bathroom. Outside the property is a paved patio area where you can dine alfresco using the charcoal BBQ. Guests also have access to a shared games room that includes pool tables and table football. And lovers of the outdoors will enjoy time spent in the extensive gardens that feature a wildlife pond, woodland and play area.

With a wide range of walking trails that cut through valleys and woodland all around, guests and their furry friends are spoilt for outdoor adventures. Two miles down the road is the village of Glantwymyn that plays host to a charming local pub that welcomes dogs in the bar and beer garden. Eight miles away is the market town of Machynlleth that boasts a wider range of shops, pubs and amenities. If you are like your dog and love the great outdoors, then lead the way to Eryri National Park eight miles away to climb mountains, meander through valleys and soak up the stunning scenery.

A lovely quaint stay in a gorgeous location. Perfect for exploring this part of Wales, and just what we were looking for. The gardens and surrounding grounds are lovely, and our children spent hours playing on the lawns.
