This pretty woodland cottage could be perfect for you (and your humans) with a garden to explore and a stream for skinny-dipping. Plenty of opportunities abound for squirrel chasing straight from the door and beaches where you can chase balls, swim all year round and just run, without getting told off. Close to the small village of Ciliau Aeron in the Aeron Valley, this converted clog maker’s cottage is the perfect spot for a friend’s get-together or a family holiday including up to 3 dogs.

The cottage has a rustic charm that you are sure to love. It sits in a wooded glade and the interior has white walls, exposed beams and offers cosy country comforts. The lounge at this property has a wood burner, the perfect spot for canines to curl up on their favourite blanket with a treat or two for company. There are generous sofas, a big coffee table for drinks and nibbles and a TV to watch Supervet on! Outside the vast garden is bordered by stream and woodland, not fully enclosed so no wandering off, Fido! Oh, and there’s a hot tub in the garden – no dogs in the tub please - you have a stream for getting your paws wet!

A good beach for dog walking is North Beach at Aberaeron. This is a colourful Georgian harbour town only 3.5 miles from your cottage with pubs and cafes that welcome wagging tails. The seaside village of New Quay, 8.5 miles away, is known for a lovely pod of dolphins so do take your binoculars. There is parking outside the cottage but the lane is also rustic; take care on the approach.

  • 3 bedrooms – 1 super-king-size, 1 double and 1 twin
  • 1 bathroom
  • Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine
  • Private hot tub and outside shower
  • Wood burner (first basket of logs included)
  • Rural property which you access by driving through a private lane, which is uneven in parts.
  • Ample off-road parking at end of private lane
  • Beach 3.5 miles at Aberaeron, pubs and shops 3 miles

Fantastic to have condiments, foil, salt, vinegar, sugar, and other bits in the cupboards. Property has an untouched rustic charm, with stand alone kitchen cupboards. Tiled through out and wood creaky floor upstairs. So cool inside in the heat. Sofas have that sinking feeling and comfort you just need after a long day. Beds are comfortable. Hot tuRead moreb has lights and a good set of jets. Outdoor lighting on the front and rear patio like fairy lights, just the right touch for this woodland escape. Rear patio has a medium size garden, which our spaniels found amazing, with the garden being 100% secure for them, well no one got out and that included the pup - 1st for our pack. Highly recommended this place. National trust has grounds and house 2 1/2 miles away which is walkable. Great for coffee, cake, lunch and woodland walks. Coast is 3 1/2 miles away. The river in front of the cottage is great for the dogs to have a throw and retrieve lesson in. We did see squirrels, wood mice, jays, robin, blue tits, great tits and a Jenny wren, in the grounds. Heared owl, foxes and deer at night. Great rustic place. Hide

We loved the seclusion of the property and being able to walk the dogs straight from the back door. Our mobiles worked once across the little bridge leading to the cottage although the landline was fully functional. Always wise to stock up on essentials before arrival. Owners left butter and welsh cakes on arrival - yummy .......
