Property code: OC-BX039

Spread over three floors and sleeping up to six humans and one dog, this delightful cottage enjoys an elevated position above Brixham harbour. The views really are something to yap about! It’s ideal for families with young children, who can enjoy boat trips, leisurely strolls along the waterfront and ball games on beaches off the beaten track with their four-legged friend.

Inside, nautical themes run throughout in a nod to Brixham’s fishing heritage. The lounge has a cosy corner sofa where you can snuggle up to watch a DVD, with Rover curled up at your feet. On warm sunny days, throw open the patio doors to sit out on the decked balcony overlooking the harbour. Drink in the views as you enjoy a glass of fizz or salty snack. If you want to prepare a family feast, pick up something for dinner from the local fish market, or if you’d prefer a night off from cooking, head to one of the many pubs and restaurants in town that welcome dogs. On the first floor you’ll find the bathroom and a king-size bedroom with harbour views. The other two bedrooms are on the top floor, including a bunk room for the kids, with plenty of space to store clothes and toys.

See the bay from a different perspective on a relaxing pleasure cruise with all the family. You can also have heaps of swashbuckling fun on the full-size replica of the iconic Golden Hind, one of the town’s most famous landmarks. There are several beaches within a mile of the cottage, including the secluded dog-friendly St Mary’s Bay and Fishcombe Cove, a sheltered beach protected on all sides by tall red cliffs.

Lovely cosy house, matched the description but could be a bit tight for six. We were two. Stunning view from the balcony. Steps up from harbour not too bad, all 80 of them. We managed to park OK on the road about 10 mins away but it was end of September. We were able to unload the car outside. Would return. Enjoyed exploring the area by boat and buRead mores. Hide

Sea View Cottage offers exactly what it suggests, the most incredible views across the harbour and bay. Everything in the cottage was clean and well thought through. I have to mention the team that service the cottage, we foolishly left our dogs bowl behind (we have had it for over 50 years for many generations of dog) and made a desperate request Read morethat it could be kept safe for us and a couple of weeks later it arrived back with us in the post. That meant so much to us, thank you. Hide

Third time I have stayed at Sunset, love the view from the property and proximity to town. Steps going down from property very handy as they bring you out straight in front of the harbour. Used local buses to Torquay and Paignton, low fare and regular.

What a gem of a spot, if you are ok with hills and steps the balcony view is worth the climb - 2nd to none for relaxing each day. A lovely holiday had by us all, accommodation has everything you need. Small cars and some serious reverse driving required if others are less than thoughtful further down the road. But nothing thatd put us off staying aRead moregain xx Hide
