A delightful, light-filled chalet on the southern edge of Snowdonia National Park, this beautiful family holiday home is wonderful for a dog-friendly holiday. It’s perched high on a hillside with gasp-worthy views across Cardigan Bay, and just 1 mile from the bustling seaside village of Aberdyfi (Aberdovey), which has plenty of dog-friendly stretches of beach for your furry friends to explore. This three-bedroom retreat is ideal for families and groups of friends keen for a Welsh getaway, offering plenty of fresh air and excellent scenery.

This Swiss-style lodge is located within a peaceful coastal holiday park, surrounded by a sloping lawn and with external steps leading up to the property. Once inside, everything is conveniently on one level. The light-filled living area, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and vaulted ceiling, is a welcoming space for you to unwind with your dogs and fellow guests. Cook group meals in the sleek kitchen and sit down to watch TV, with those stunning coastal views ever-present. The three bedrooms include a cosy king-size, a small double and a bunk bedroom, while a shower room finishes off the indoor section. Outside, the lovely raised, covered veranda creates the perfect spot for tucking into outdoor meals, while the pets sniff out new scents. (Do keep an eye on any curious canines and children, as there’s a steep drop beyond the fence.)

The surrounding area offers an abundance of dog-friendly activities – whether that’s sipping a coffee or pint of ale in one of Aberdovey’s many pubs and cafes or teeing off at the local golf course (1.5 miles) where dogs on leads can accompany you around. For a relaxing morning out, take a leisurely walk along the Wales Coast Path, which stretches 4 miles to Tywyn, or venture deeper into the national park for day hikes and picnics.

This holiday home was one of the best I have stayed at. The view alone is amazing, even on bad weather days the view is stunning. The cabin had everything that I needed. I really can't fault anything. Just a heads up, as other reviews, there is a steep path to the holiday place if you're not good on your feet. Good dog walking treks around the siteRead more, and close to many North Wales landmarks and iconic places. Over all for me 10/10 well worth the money just for the views alone. Hide

Lovely little chalet, bit of a hair raising experience to get to it but the views are spectacular. It's well equipped and has electric heaters along with a freestanding one in the lounge by the window. Bear in mind this is not suitable for anyone with a slight physical impairment as the steps are very steep into the lodge, hubby carried the dog up Read morethe steps. Despite the weather we had a lovely break away. Hide

We had a wonderful time away - we couldn't have loved the space more. We stopped, relaxed & just got to be together as a family - everything was thought of & we would not hesitate in staying again!

I can't emphasize enough how much l enjoyed my time on my holiday. My dog loved it too. The scenery is breathtaking. There were plenty of walking to be had if that's your thing. If not then lodge itself has everything that you need for a nice relaxing time. The town itself isn't too far away for food and drinks with the beach nearby. I rate my holiRead moreday 10/10. Hide
