Watch extraordinary sunsets from this spacious seaside house with a large private garden. Perfect for groups and extended families, plus a pair of canine companions, it’s set in the picturesque coastal village of Llwyngwril, a great base for exploring the many attractions of South Snowdonia.

Hang your coats and leads in the entrance hall and head along to the kitchen/diner, where there’s space to create stress-free meals and enjoy them at the long wooden table. There’s a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine in the utility room, and this could be just the place for you to feed your mutts. Once everyone has eaten you could spread out a map, play a board game, enjoy the tranquil views from the sun room, or stroll through to the lounge, a relaxing space with a Smart TV and a wood burner for those cooler evenings. If you’re feeling competitive, the games room offers table football and another Smart TV. At bedtime, you’ll find the four bedrooms leading off the hallway: a king-size with an en-suite shower room, two doubles and a triple room containing three single beds. A family bathroom with a separate bath and shower completes the interior. Your pets will love to sniff around the large garden (though please keep them on a lead). Soak in the wood-fired hot tub and then light the BBQ and dine on the patio while watching the sun set. From here you can take a footpath down to the pebble beach and the sea.

Ideal for water sports, especially windsurfing, surfing and sailing, the sandy beach at Fairbourne is just 3 miles away. This is also the place to hop on to the narrow-gauge Fairbourne Railway, which connects with the passenger ferry to Barmouth, southern Snowdonia's most popular seaside resort.

We spent a lovely week at Tan y Fedwen despite mixed weather. The cottage is very roomy and in a good position, with plenty of parking and an easy walk down to the pebble beach. The children loved seeing the donkeys in the next field as well as the goats. Mei the owner was very friendly and came to load the hot tub with logs as soon as we arriveRead mored. We were disappointed that Hendre Hall had limited opening hours after Easter until May as the food in the restaurant was really good! Hide

We had a fabulous stay in this cottage, as 4 adults and 5 kids. The owner was really friendly and responsive by text message. We especially enjoyed the wood fired hot tub and the living room wood burner, during out February stay. The communal space is set up really well for a group. We also tried out the sauna and the coffee and cake at the on siteRead more cafe, which were great. We would definitely come back again. Hide

We had a fantastic stay. The owners are welcoming and accommodating as we had a few last-minute changes due to family circumstances. Lovely, well equipped cottage with comfortable beds, in it's own garden, not secure enough to leave dogs loose, as it's next to a field with cattle etc in. Next to the caravan and campsite, decent small farm shop. The owner Mae was friendly and very helpful and quick to respond to messages. I have suggested that it needs a tumble dryer or good aireRead morer, especially with the unpredictable Welsh weather. Also an oven glove would be useful.
