We had a wonderful few days here, the house is clean and comfortable with everything you could need, the location and views are glorious (it helped that we were blessed with warm sunny weather!) and other than the very few occasions when the neighbours went past on the track to and from their property (which you can't see or hear at all from the coRead morettage) the silence was broken only by the birds and sheep. The walk down to the ford and beyond is lovely, you do need to drive very slowly on the final bit to the house as it's unmade road, but that's part of the charm as the noise and stress of the rest of the world seems a thousand miles away even though you can get to food shops in about 20 minutes or so. We would love to come back again. Hide

A great cottage and location. The extreme weather meant the ford was impassable for a couple of days, but the neighbours in the farm beyond gave us useful tips on judging whether it was safe or not. We just read and stayed snug in front of the wood burner. Some great walks, lots of peace and quiet, and we didn't watch TV for 2 weeks! Be aware the iRead morenternet is very slow, but we got good 4g signal on our phones by the windows. Listen out for the owls... Hide

This is definitely worth a visit, I love this house. We have been several times and have already booked to spend Christmas there. If you looking for a quiet break this house is recommended. A beautifully renovated traditional Welsh cottage, both spacious and really well equipped. Amazing views and the track is not a problem if you take it slowly. We enjoy getting away from it all and this is possibly the loveliest cottage we've been to. Beautiful cottage where you can feel the history. Its been very much loved and cared for and has everything you need. Great location with a stream for the dogs part way along the drive. Mind the many levels, a 10 step followed by a 2 one is dangerous. The WiFi is questionable and small dogs could escape easily, needs stock fence around the wooden oRead morene. Lovely selection of birds, we filled the feeders ourselves to watch them. Highly recommend if you want to escape! Hide

The location is gorgeous, peaceful and just bird song however the local OS tracks are v overgrown which limits the walks from the door a lot which was a shame as we had to use the car more than we wanted to. The house is very well equipped but v dated in places and you do need the fire on if the sun isnt out. Small dogs can get through the fence soRead more was a concern for us. For a 4* property we were a little disappointed but we would recommend it for a peaceful hideaway. Hide
