Admire the traditional charm and character of this home which was built in 1713 and maintains many of its original features. Spend time with a cup of tea in the spacious kitchen/diner and cook up tasty treats for everyone on the AGA – perfect for slow-cooked, flavoursome feasts. Views from this room reach over the garden and the dining table sits near the pretty, ornamental fireplace with space for those with four paws to keep you company on the cosy rug. Enjoy after-dinner drinks in the gorgeous garden which is enclosed so your pups can chase their tails safely whilst you bask in the fresh air. Take care of the external steps and admire the blossoming wisteria during spring/summer before heading to bed in one of three pretty bedrooms. There is a handy family room with a double and single bed on the second floor and a quirky double with sloping ceilings, a splash of zesty colour and a TV/DVD on the fourth floor.

Visit Ludlow’s weekly food market to pick up goodies or coincide your trip with the annual Food Festival in September and spend days trawling the treats. With an abundance of glorious places to explore close to home, embark on exciting walks with your tail-wagging companion and head out for a waterside stroll along the River Teme, a stick chase in Mortimer Forest (3 miles) or to the National Trust’s dog-friendly Berrington Hall.

A comfortable house in which we spent a lovely Christmas. It is in a most desirable position right up by the square and the castle. The living room is especially comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped.

This is a beautiful house, very clean and well cared-for. There is lots of room and the beds are extremely comfortable. Bed-linen and towels are good quality, and smell freshly-washed, rather than of fabric conditioner. There are also no nasty perfume-producing gadgets in the plug-sockets; so welcome for anyone with hay-fever or asthma. The positioRead moren in the town is perfect: very close to shops and pubs, and some wonderful walks. Owners John and Margaret are very approachable and helpful. Hide

Beautiful house in the middle of the town, near the Ludlow castle. 3 floors and old staircases could be challenging for people with limited mobility but all bedrooms and bathrooms are so nice and confortable that overall we had a wonderful time with our family.

Ideal central location for shops and market, & only 10 minutes walk to the train station. Very comfortable well equipped house, useful to have a work area we could leave the laptop set up in. Pub next door did not disturb us, and serves a nice pint. Some interesting walks in the surrounding areas too.
