Rest and recharge in this delightful holiday home in the quaint village of Llandogo, within the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The property sleeps four guests and two furry friends, and suits both small families and couples seeking a peaceful, rural bolthole. The area is a paradise for walkers, with both the Offa’s Dyke Path and the Wye Valley Walk passing close to the village. After a long walk, refuel in the friendly village pub, just 300 metres from the cottage.

The ground floor retreat is accessed via the gardens to the rear of the property. Inside, you’ll find a spacious kitchen/diner, with a choice of seating areas at a breakfast bar, wooden dining table, or comfortable sofa. This sociable space is the perfect spot for spending quality time together, rustling up tasty feasts and chatting over a bottle of wine. With direct access to the garden, this is also a good place for Rover to set up camp. From here, move through to the cosy lounge, where a collection of comfortable seating is arranged around a Smart TV/DVD. When day turns to night, choose from two beautiful bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. A family bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, enjoy a morning coffee in the open-aspect garden, whilst the woofer potters around on the grass.

The cottage is just 3.5 miles from the picturesque village of Tintern, famous for its atmospheric ruins of a magnificent Cistercian abbey. There are several circular walks in and around the village, encompassing the abbey, as well as a popular route to the Devil’s Pulpit which offers far-reaching views across the Wye Valley. History enthusiasts will be in their element, with many fascinating castles within a 15-mile radius, including Chepstow, Caldicot, and Raglan (all of which welcome four-pawed visitors).

Well equipped and comfortable cottage in a beautiful location. It worked well for my husband who uses a rollator walking frame as he has limited mobility.

The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival. Access was easy. Parking out the front of the accomodation was perfect. The cottage was big and spacious which helped as 1 person in our party was in a wheelchair and managed to move around easy. The kitchen was equipped with everything you needed and more. And having a washing machine was a handy touch.Read more The main bathroom was big and spacious and always ample of hot water. The area was lovely. And only a short walk to the local pub. Hide

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. However, we had no idea from the pictures or the description, that we would have upstairs neighbours. At times, especially at night, they were quite noisy. If I had known this I would not have booked this cottage. Everything else about the location and the cottage was perfect.

A lovely well equipped cottage. Tucked away but a great location for visiting all the sights. Sadly the village shop is closed so you need to come with adequate provisions. We would definitely return.

The cottage was really well equipped. Beds comfortable bathrooms very good. I am being picky that I do not much like leather sofas, bit cold but not a real issue. Heating was a bit difficult to understand but owner was very good & sorted it out.

We had a wonderful stay, could not fault the lodge. Very comfortable, everything we needed. If we were to critic this property, it would be nice to have more comfortable seating for outside. Either a bench or two comfortable chairs the metal ones were most uncomfortable to sit in the sun. Saying that we would love to return, there was a very helpfuRead morel neighbour too, with a little friendly dog. Hide
