Get the best of both worlds at this charming barn conversion in the gorgeous countryside of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Just 2.5 miles from the coast, it’s ideal for friends or family and their four-legged friends. With an enclosed patio area to explore, a large lawn for playtime, and a wood burner to curl up in front of, you’ll have a happy pack.
The cute single-storey cottage is one of three on a farm at the end of a no-through road, so peace and quiet are guaranteed (except for the odd animal noise!). The conversion has combined modern features and rustic charm. The bright and spacious open-plan lounge/dining room has a high vaulted ceiling, wooden beams and exposed stone walls, with space for a dog bed near the cosy wood burner and comfy sofas for the humans. There’s a lovely dining space for meals created in the fully equipped kitchen next door and two pretty bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, as well as a family bathroom. There’s a shared laundry room with a token-operated washing machine and tumble dryer at the end of the row of cottages. The cottage has a super walled/gated/fenced patio for drinks and nibbles al fresco and a large lawn where the pups can play.
Take them for a run and a paddle on Little Haven beach (2.5 miles away by road or footpaths). The pretty ex-fishing village is home to three pubs where canines are welcome too. Broad Haven (2.5 miles) has shops, cafes, and a huge sandy beach where the hounds can go mutts. Nature lovers should visit the puffin and Manx shearwater colonies on Skomer Island – trips run from Lockley Lodge Visitor Centre (9 miles). For more walkies, explore the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which traces the stunning coastline.
