Heading north instead, pass the town of popular town of Taunton three miles away to reach the Quantock Hills (6.5 miles), another Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where no stick should be left unfetched. Have a ball amongst the towering Douglas firs of the Great Wood (14 miles) or throw a tennis ball on the striking pebble shores of Kilve Beach (20.5 miles).
