A nice cottage away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. A quiet place close to the south west coastal path. Roughly 20 mins walk to the town and bus links for visiting other places if you don't want to drive. I enjoyed my stay

Handy spot for exploring the area with easy access to the A39. It was a lovely walk to Appledore. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with nice views of the river. Even the relatively modern road bridge is quite elegant in its construction and didnt detract from the cottage nestled beside it.

We had a good week at Chircombe Moorings. It is surprisingly quiet, considering the proximity to the A39 Bridge. Also, it had lovely views of the Torridge Estuary. No problems of any consequence. Recommend if you are not overly fussy to have every mod-con.

Such an interesting house and spacious flat in a beautiful location right next to the River Torridge. Despite a heatwave, the inside of the flat stayed cool. It was very peaceful and we saw curlew and shelduck feeding on the river at low tide. Our accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed. It served its purpose, it was clean and functional. The garden is in a good location overlooking the estuary, pleasant but could be improved by better garden furniture. Lovely spot nice gardens.well positioned. We would have liked information on the buildings as they are very interesting. The beds were very comfortable and the accommodation clean. The furniture was very low as modern furniture often is,which was a bit of a struggle for me. There are small steps between rooms which are worth knowing about. The kitcRead morehen is well stocked with a full oven and hob, a large fridge/freezer. My favourite part was watching the river at sunrise sat in the garden. Hide

Anna the host was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The flat is well looked after, very clean and well equipped. Location is excellent and quiet with walks for the dogs on the doorstep with the coast path or to just sit and watch the river activity. Also handy for Bideford town.

Very well equipped, spacious and comfortable and in a great location. The centre of Bideford is just a few minutes walk away and quaint Appledore is easily walkable along the South West Coast Path or a very short drive away. There are several great restaurants, pubs and cafes nearby. We particularly enjoyed Le Petit Monde in Bideford where we had aRead moren excellent meal and were very well looked after by the proprietors. Overall, we found it an ideal base for a New Year break. Very quiet inside the apartment with it's thick walls and double glazing, and even the traffic noise in the garden wasn't too obtrusive. Lovely to see the tide come in an out. Plenty of interesting places to visit within a short drive.
