Enjoying a picturesque location along the Jurassic Coast, this pretty cottage offers lovely accommodation for a family of up to six with a pair of pet dogs. Situated within a beautiful and extensive private estate which you and your hounds are welcome to explore, it’s ideal for anyone looking to enjoy fantastic long rural and coastal walks. The bustling town of Lyme Regis is 4 miles away and has a choice of great canine-friendly pubs, with dogs being welcome on East Cliff, Church Cliff and Monmouth beaches.

The spacious and bright property is a lovely space to relax in, with a beautiful light-filled lounge where you can unwind, chat about the day and watch a movie. Enjoy a leisurely family dinner either in the dining room or in the attractive kitchen/diner and then retire to one of the three cosy bedrooms, including a master bedroom with distant sea views. Outside, there’s a large enclosed garden, perfect for dogs to play in, and a charming seating area for you to enjoy a morning coffee or an al fresco meal. Guests are requested to keep dogs downstairs, and keep them on the lead when exploring the estate.

From the estate you will have direct access onto the beautiful Axmouth to Lyme Regis Undercliffs National Nature Reserve. You will also be ideally placed for exploring the Jurassic coastline, with highlights including the Cobb at Lyme Regis (4 miles) and Ladram Bay (19 miles). Nearby is the charming village of Beer (7 miles) with its caves and sheltered bay, or you could spend a day exploring pretty seaside towns such as Sidmouth, Axmouth, Branscombe and Seaton, all with dog-friendly beaches and within 9 miles. Lyme Regis (4 miles) is a vibrant town with much to see, as well as plenty of dog-friendly pubs.

Beautiful cottage in an ideal location for dogs except it would be nice if there was a walking area where they could be let off the lead. Ideally situated for Devon and Dorset. would definitely consider a return.

West Lodge was in a lovely setting with ideal enclosed garden for our dogs. The rooms were comfortable and kitchen well equipped.

Beautiful.setting A lovely spacious amd extreemly clean and well.equipped kitchen . Lovely views and walks around the estate. At the back of West lodge there was a back entrance gate (bridle path ) so you can walk dogs down country lanes behind also .

Great location with walks on the doorstep. Safe for children and pets. The property was comfortable but lacked some personal touches, West Lodge would benefit from some updating .. beds were on the small side but comfortable. Good bathrooms. Kitchen equipmentand table furniture and TV and kitchen should be updated. Garden area needs some attention Read more. This property could be superb with some TLC. Hide

The cottage was as described, the heating and hot water was very good. The grounds are to great to walk around. I had previously lived in the house so it was interesting to see how things have changed. The environment is very quiet. For us an early morning dog walk on Trinity Hill (about 10 mins drive away) was a great start to our day. There was nRead moreothing extra we thought we needed. The wifi worked fine. Hide

Disappointing stay due to cleanliness issues and poor quality furnishings, information in booklet provided by cottage out of date, went to walk to the private beach and was informed it was too dangerous because of the landslip. The location of the cottage on the estate is quaint, we enjoyed walking around the estate. The cottage was roomy and reasonably comfortable. The pictures of the cottage on the website are much better than the reality. Cleanliness needs addressing.

Rather over-priced for what is very much a no-frills holiday let: basic equipment (no welcome pack at all, not even tea and biscuits; few decent wine glasses, no hair dryer, not enough loo rolls, no children's crocks or cutlery; no books or games of any kind), house over-shadowed by large trees.
