Located close to the River Caerfanell, grab the lead and pull-on walking boots to enjoy peaceful strolls along the canal bank towpath. A stylish bolthole, this delightful cottage is perfect for couples, families and four-legged friends too. Getting the best of both worlds, you can enjoy the bustle of village life but escape with ease to the surrounding countryside and further afield into the spectacular Brecon Beacons National Park. Beautifully furnished with everything you could need, the owners have thought of everything so you dont have to!

Entered via a couple of steps, the cream walls and neutral tones of the furnishings make this compact and charming property spacious and bright. The galley kitchen has a door to the rear garden so as you cook a delicious meal, your canine chum can potter in and out. The cosy sitting area with its wooden floors has a dining table and bay window with seats looking out onto the garden. Sit back and relax on the sofa and pop a film on the smart TV,  as your pup curls up in front of the wood burner. Up a set of steep cottage-style stairs, the bedrooms lend a boutique feel to your stay; wake up surrounded by soft, pretty decor and take in the morning with a coffee in the enclosed garden. Fire up a BBQ in the evening, or take a stroll to the local dog-friendly pub.

Tackle challenging walks up Pen y Fan (14 miles), Cribyn (13 miles) and Fan y Big (9 miles). Mountain bikers should take on the famous Taff Trail, which passes through the village and stretches all the way to Cardiff in the south. For something a little more serene, discover the spectacular waterfalls at Blaen-y-Glyn (5 miles) and the large, picturesque reservoir at Talybont (2.5 miles) is often teeming with migratory birds. After a busy day, sample local delights in one of the two village pubs.

This is a lovely characterful, comfortable, well-equipped cottage in a stunning location with walks from the door, and the village store with cafe and Post Office is a real plus. There's a very comfortable double bed and easy on-street parking. Peaceful setting with the sound of the river to lull one to sleep.

A lovely little cottage, we understand the owner has just purchased the property. So be prepared for a few little gremlins. Parking is a bit of a issue. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

What a fantastic location, lots of doorstep walks and amazing scenery . Cottage is comfortable and clean with everything you could need to hand. 2 minute walk to the shop and small cafe which serves lovely fresh food (including cakes gluten and dairy free!) Great location in village with 2 pubs (which did food) within 200 metres of cottage. Canal path opposite & the sound of the river running past was wonderful. Everything in cottage we needed bar a fan as was hot upstairs even with windows open. But owner dropped 1 off that very night after enquiring about fans. Clean, comfortable cottage. A really cute, little cottage and we had a lovely stay. One bed in particular was really comfy and we enjoyed using the fire. The stream nearby was beautiful and the cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable for a few days. Very responsive and helpful owners too.

The cottage is in a great location, with views over farmland at the rear and tucked away in a quiet spot. There are a couple of pubs right on the doorstop and a local shop. As well as plenty of walking right from the cottage.

A cosy and peaceful cottage in a beautiful setting in Talybont-on-Usk. This cottage had everything we needed for a short break. We especially loved the log burner. The beds were very comfy too. Great location across the road from two pubs and close to the Mon and Brec canal. Also close to Brecon and Haye on Wye.
