Split into two buildings, the main farmhouse and the self-contained barn showcase wooden beams, traditional furniture and welcoming splashes of colour throughout. Step inside the farmhouse and you’ll find a traditional kitchen, a cosy open-plan living space to dine relax in, as well as a hang-out for the younger members in your group. Over in the barn you’ll find a farm-style kitchen and a lovely lounge/diner with a welcoming wood burner to warm your toes by. Host your special celebration on the property’s fantastic terrace, which boasts magnificent mountain views and a luxurious hot tub. When the day is done, you’ll find three bedrooms in the farmhouse (two king-size and one double), as well as two gracious king-size bedrooms in the barn.
Take your pups for walkies through the beautiful grounds at the 12th century Hay Castle (5 miles). Dogs are welcome in the grounds, on the ground floor of the castle and in the cafe. Afterwards, check out Hay-on-Wye’s famous bookshops and stop off in one of its dog-friendly pubs. Further afield, head to Llangorse (13.5 miles) and take your pups for a picturesque 4-mile hike around Wales’ largest natural lake.
