Nice cottage in good condition and location, when booking we were looking for dog friendly accommodation. Not suitable for active or anything above a small dog, dogs not allowed on the furniture or upstairs so with no stair gate and the door to the lounge not shutting properly it was difficult to manage

A top location if you like cycling, walking, exploring interesting sights. The house was warm and for the long weekend had everything we needed. Ideal location for walks in the Wye Forest, especially can recommend visiting Mallards Pike Lake, Clearwell Mines, Monmouth Town Centre. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definatly stay in this area again. Accomodation not recommended for elderly or mobility issues as stairs are very steep and could be dangerous. Also Steps down to property.

We had a lovely stay with our dog. The property is very comfortable for 2 people. The location is very rural but we were prepared for that and drove out to shops and restaurants. Upstairs bedrooms are comfortable however, I think the description of cottage style stairs needs to state they are very steep the steps are narrow. Maybe show them more cRead morelearly in the photos too. I felt uneasy coming down them. Hide

This place was ideal for us ... We just wanted to take time to rest after an exceptional busy season. We brought everything we needed with us. We did take a long walk in the forest of Dean which was very pleasant. Whilst it is not high end place ... It was just right for what we needed.

We had a lovely time at the cottage, it was so warm and cosy. Location wise, it couldn't have been any better for our weekend of walks in the area, perfect! Also having parking was a huge bonus. Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the property, not enough attention was given to this. Carpets were unclean. Living room walls were unclean. Windows and internal frames in all rooms were unclean with spiders. Shower head and loo roll holders were missing. Bathroom door handle was adrift. Bed linen and towels didn't smell clean so we went oRead moreut and bought new. Photos on website are obviously not recent and are therefore misleading. Needs redecorating. Owners didn't introduce themselves.

Really lovely cottage with everything we needed. It was like home from home. Kids loved playing the games that were supplied and they watched a few of the dvds that were also supplied. Lovely location, local pub next door where the owner and the locals made us feel very welcome. A short walk to the local shop, which had everything we needed

Lovely little cottage full of character. Beautiful area but being next to a busy road, I found having the window open a bit too noisy. Not an issue when the window in the sitting room is closed. Overall a nice stay.
