The lodge itself was clean, cosy, and situated in a lovely area, which initially gave us a positive impression and made us excited for our stay. The surroundings were peaceful, and the property had the potential to be a really relaxing getaway. We stayed at this lodge for three nights, and unfortunately, our experience was less than satisfactoryRead more. Upon arrival, the owner greeted us but immediately informed us that the lodge was only for two people, despite it having three bedrooms. This was confusing as we had booked for six guests, and the listing was clearly advertised as such. Although she did allow us to stay, her delivery was firm and, frankly, unsettling. She repeatedly emphasized that if we kept the lodge clean, we could returnan odd remark, as ultimately, its we who decide where we feel comfortable returning. Throughout the stay, her tone was often dismissive. She made flippant jokes about rearranging sleeping arrangements, and she repeatedly emphasized that we had to clean the property before checkoutdespite the fact that no cleaning supplies or equipment were provided. She also made an unnecessary comment about a previous guest who had done henna, which was both uncomfortable and inappropriate. In addition, the hot tub was a major letdowneach time we used it, it was visibly dirty, with debris floating inside, and it didnt seem to be cleaned between guests. Even though we tried to leave the lodge as tidy as possible, we were left feeling like we were being monitored unfairly. Lastly, on a weekend evening, we were asked to turn down our music early, even though it was still light out and it was a reasonable hour to relax. While we aimed to have a peaceful stay, the owners attitude, lack of support (such as missing amenities like bin bags), and cleanliness issues left a sour impression. While we tried to be respectful, ultimately, we will not be returning to this property, nor will we be recommending it to others. We hope the lodge takes these concerns seriously and improves the guest experience. Hide

Very cosy, yet clean and spacious cottage. The free range chickens and peaceful sound of bird-song on the farm were fabulous. The hot tub is a great size and very clean with different setting for lights and jets. The cottage was also very well equipped.

We stayed here for a weekend and the lodge was clean, well located to the countryside, which is what we were looking for and had everything we needed. The cost was reasonable and we will definitely look to return.
