The popular circular walk ‘Twyn-y-Sheriff’ is accessible from Raglan alongside many other incredible walks. Travel 6 miles to visit the market town of Usk, winner of Wales in Bloom for 37 years in a row. The beautiful town boasts its own Norman castle, an enchanting and special place to visit with many other charming castles in nearby areas. Usk also has a small museum, walking trails and plenty of independent shops to spend a day visiting. The ‘gateway to Wales’ Abergavenny and the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park are 10 miles from the property, where you can really discover everything the area has to offer.
This beautifully converted barn has been renovated with character in mind. Oak beams and exposed stonework run throughout the cottage. The ground floor is open-plan, with an oak kitchen area complete with Belfast sink and all the amenities you will require for your stay here. There is also a dining table in the kitchen. The living area has a beautiful exposed chimney breast with wood burner and a supply of logs. There is also a Smart TV/DVD player for cosying down after a long day exploring. A steep spiral staircase leads upstairs to a large double bedroom and contemporary bathroom, which features a stunning Victorian-style claw foot slipper bath.
A door to the garden from the living area leads to a secluded, private and pretty patio/BBQ area with table and chairs for enjoying al fresco dining. The cottage is set in under 7 acres of grounds where guests can visit the top fields for a picnic and see the spectacular views over the three peaks of Abergavenny.
